STOREFRONTS OPEN FOR BUSINESS (3-4hours)
All stores, shoppes and vendors will be open for inspection and
purchases from 5PM Friday until normal closing hours.
6PM - WELCOME WAGON PROGRAM (2 hours)
Town center will come alive with Performers and Key Performers as well
as musicians, singers, dancers and other entertainers to welcome all
guests in a lively and warm fashion.
8PM - GUEST RECEPTION (Mayor's
Mansion) (all evening)
All guests will find an invitation for dinner and reception at the
Mayor’s home located in their rooms. Guests staying in other
parts of the resort will receive the invitation from a valet or courier.
A buggy will take guests to the Mayor’s House before 8PM. A
buffet meal will be provided and guests will meet the prominent members
of Millstone Derry Society - from government, business, the arts and
other Key Performers. Dinner will be followed by an invitation to
visit the mansion library, patio, smoking rooms and other facets of the
mansion. This will serve as an introduction to life in
Millstone Derry, it’s personalities, conflicts, politics and
events. Contacts will be made here and some custom adventures
will begin in this setting.
10PM - FIREWORKS OVER THE CASTLE (45
minutes)
Commemorating the victory of the Town Council over the Lord of
Kurnvald, fireworks will light the resort skies in a 45 minute
presentation. A champagne toast will take place on the Mayor's
terrace overlooking the village.
MIDNIGHT - Last Call
All taverns and pubs will close. Buggy service ends at 1AM

Festival Grounds Open to Vendors and Faire Participants
6:30AM - Weekend Editions of The Town
Crier arrive on doorsteps across the village
6:30AM - Carriages and Buggies begin
service.
7AM - Most restaurants open for
breakfast.
9AM - VILLAGE PARADE! (45 minutes)
Champions and sporting participants in the village gather for an
exciting, musical parade from the Western Stagin Area, through town and
to the Parade Grounds as part of the Festival Opening Ceremonies
9AM - Most shops open for business.
10AM - FESTIVAL OPENING CEREMONY (1
hour)
A festival with elements of medieval games and (a park within the park)
Renaissance Faire with blacksmiths, swordsmiths, jousts, and sporting
competition between six regional villages. (Lasts all weekend and has
its own list of events)
10:30AM - FESTIVAL GROUNDS OPEN TO
GUESTS (12 hours)
The pits, shops and attractions are open to guests of the resort.
11AM - Taverns & Pubs Open for
Business
11:30AM - MATINEE PERFORMANCE AT
PLAYHOUSE (1 hour)
The seasonal play/musical/review is performed along with accompanying
celebration.
12PM - FESTIVAL GAMES BEGIN (8 hours)
A series of 12 events with over 150 competitors (some guests!) take
place on the Festival Grounds. Seats for spectators are available.
2PM - Street Theatre in the Merchant's
District including jugglers, mimes, gypsy dancers and highland pipers.
4PM - Dinner begins at most
restaurants.
6PM - TOWN HALL MEETING (1 hour)
Join the Mayor and the Town Council in their discussion of village
issues and concerns. The forum is open to the public and input by
the locals is often entertaining and exciting. Will the Town
Council accept horseless carriages on the streets this year? Will
they permit the new textile factory to be build up stream? Did
the police have the right to shoot Mr. Flannery's pig that was "on a
rampage" through the streets last Thursday? Find out here.
6PM - A WALK IN THE GARDENS (5 hours)
The Public Gardens are open to the public offering a romantic gaslamp
walk through a lush garden of exotic and beautiful flowers and
plants. Tea and classical music on the Imperial Palace grounds
for all guests.
7PM - PUBLIC TRIALS (1 hour)
Be a part of the vox populi as the Court of Millstone Derry tries those
charged with crimes before the assembled mob. Crimes from theft
to indecency are arraigned, tried and the public is given to verdicts
in swift justice? Prison? Freedom? Perhaps even a
hanging declared for the following morning? Anything can happen
at the public trials.
7PM - BARN DANCE (4 hours)
A party with Irish and Scottish flair takes place at the Working
Farm. Resort guests have an open invitation to the dancing,
singing, drinking and celebrating along with the hard-working farmfolk
who provide the lion's share of meat, poultry and milk for the
village.
7PM - MEETING OF THE MILLSTONE DERRY
SMOKING SOCIETY (2 hours)
An invitation-only event where the well-to-do of the village gather to
share company, smoke cigars and plot the future of the village. A
gathering for a more "mature" audience, there is usually some wagering
over billiards or cards, lively political debate, intrigue, and
spirits. On ocassion, the Smoking Society invites acts from the
Festival for private performances.
8PM - THE ROUNDTABLE (? hours)
A peculiar group of thinkers and investigators gathers to share stories
and information. Some stories are too bizarre to be believed and
certainly in these enlightened times, stories of werewolves and
vampires can't be true...can they?
2AM - LAST CALL

A local tradition and event likely to make visitors uneasy, this
is the hour condemned prisoners are sentenced to hang. Security
is tight in case anyone tries to escape or free the prisoners from the
gallows (it's happened in the past!)

Visiting competitors are honored and winners awarded medals and
prizes. All participants are invited to a Pig Roast in the Faire
Grounds.
6PM - Festival Closes, Vendors Break

7PM - FESTIVAL ROAST (3 hours)
A village-sponsored event with much food, games and celebration!
2AM - Last Call - Buggies stop service
