What's Included?
All vacations include two daily meals, transportation to and from the Regional Airport and Welcome Center, the Welcome Center orientation and transport via VR ride to the carriage or train, train or carriage to and from the town gate and porter service of all belongings.  It also includes:

Character or No-Character?
Character, Wardrobe and Consultation Services  ($150)
Millstone Derry guests will have the option of coming to the resort as themselves, or taking on a role.  While a majority of guests prefer to just "be themselves" some who come may wish to blend into society.  Doing so requires a special discipline that is not for everyone as well as additional preparation.  Playing a character is usually reserved for participants in our LARP Packages, but can be a fun and unique experience for guests of our other packages as well.  Character creation is done with one of our Production Consultants and includes historical background, wardrobe, accessories and proper credentials.  

Costumes or No-Costumes?
Wardrobe and Accessories at the Welcome Center ($200-1000)
While Millstone Derry residents have seen modern clothes, they do tend to stick out.  The Welcome Center offers a wardrobe consultant for those who want to look the part of a 19th century gentleman or lady.  Appropriate dress is recommended for all functions - traditional or modern and the Resort will provide a you with a dress code.  Pricing and measurements can be worked out in advance.

Weekend Packages (Friday-Sunday)
Participant Pkg starting at $455 per person/Getaways starting at $350 per person
3 Days & 2 Nights Accommodations and activities in the resort, including transportation from the Welcome Center, Invitation to the Mayor’s Reception, Wine & Cheese Reception during Fireworks, and custom activities based on selected package.  Coach departure Sunday at 3PM for Welcome Center and shuttle Service to Airport.

6/7 Package (Friday-Friday)
Participant Pkg starting at $999 per person/Getaways starting at $750 per person
6 Days & 7 Nights  with additional vouchers for meals and invitation to activities.  Departure is Friday morning by train to the Welcome Center with shuttle service to regional airport.

13/14 Package (Friday-Friday)
starting at $1899 per person/Double Participant pkg starting at $2500 per person
13 Days & 14 Nights  with additional vouchers for meals and invitation to activities.  This package is a combination of Active and Getaway packages and a special itinerary is provided prior to arrival.  Two Particpant Packages are available for an additional charge.  Contact the sales office for details. Departure is Friday morning by train to the Welcome Center with shuttle service to regional airport.

Visits to the Millstone Derry Resort are best spent over a week, but shorter stays are offered.  Our Weekend Getaways include the fireworks and Festival along with the great shops, sights and shows across the resort.  But be warned that there is so much to see and do in the village that you’ll just HAVE to come back to experience it all!  Week-long Packages offer more options and allow you more time to experience all the resort has to offer.  Our extended 14-Day stays will almost make you part of the Millstone Derry community.   

Getaway or Participation Package?
Come to play or come to relax, the services and activities of Millstone Derry are at your fingertips.  We offer packages to allow you to blend in or stand out, save the day or watch the sun set, explore a haunted castle or bring a madman to justice, enjoy a manicure and facial or bail hay and herd cattle.  All these activities are available to you in some of the most interesting and exciting vacation packages ever offered.

Adventure Packages (Participant Packages)

LARPs
Adventure LARPs (Live-Action Role Playing) are designed for guests who want to become part of the action.  They typically require much more activity and development of a character and is NOT for everyone.  Guests will submit their desire for a "genre" and discuss their expectations.  We will provide a plot line that most suits those requests.  Depending on the number of participants, these storylines and plots may be tailored to suit individual needs and time restraints.  As these are more complex and detailed vacations, they will require a consultation with one or more representatives of the group booking the stay.  Action will take place "around the clock" meaning that there is no official "down time" for participants unless requested in advance.  Accommodations will be provided in keeping with the theme of the adventure and the character of the participants.  Each adventure will be monitored and proctored by a member of the staff Production Department and altered if needed for the best possible experience for all guests.  Adventures will end when the objective(s) is/are met or the time limit is reached.  A reception with resort performers is held at the end to recap events and tie up loose ends and to share the accomplishments of all participants.  In the case of the Large-Group LARP, a special Awards Ceremony is available to provide prizes and recognition.  

Millstone Derry offers several genres and plots to choose from so that returning guests can experience new and exciting adventures.    We offer Large Group, Small Group and Single Guest LARPs.

Because of the detail of planning, we do not offer refunds for canceled reservations once the planning has begun.  Single Guest participants may be added to small or large parties or two small parties may be joined into a single large party, depending on their resquests.

Large-Group LARP (8-16 people)
Package includes consultation with Production Director  to customize your adventure, character dossiers, general plot generation and itinerary.  LARP "modules" are based on selected genre and can include mystery, horror, espionage, suspense, or intrigue.  LARP vacations will include invitations to Mayor’s Reception, Wine and Cheese in the Park for Fireworks, Admission to the Medieval Faire, and accommodations based on the length of stay.  The "Production Director" will assist in maintaining the flow of the game and refereeing actions.  Large groups will also be provided with character information packets and a special introductory meeting prior to departing the Welcome Center.  This package will also provide, at additional cost, plaques for winners and/or participants, and a reception with the resort performers following the conclusion of the game.  (note that, as with all LARP packages, key events and encounters will transpire during any time of day or night in keeping with realism.  These events can be customized prior to the start of the game.)  

Small-Group LARP (2-7 people)
Package includes consultation with Production Director  to customize your adventure, character dossiers, general plot generation and itinerary.  LARP "modules" are based on selected genre and can include mystery, horror, espionage, suspense, or intrigue.  LARP vacations will include invitations to Mayor’s Reception, Wine and Cheese in the Park for Fireworks, Admission to the Medieval Faire, and accommodations based on the length of stay.  The "Production Director" will assist in maintaining the flow of the game and refereeing actions.  Large groups will also be provided with character information packets and a special introductory meeting prior to departing the Welcome Center.  This package will include a reception with the resort performers following the conclusion of the game. (Note that, as with all LARP packages, key events and encounters will transpire during any time of day or night in keeping with realism.  These events can be customized prior to the start of the game.)  

Single Guest LARP
A guest can choose to become part of a larger LARP or have his or her own adventure.  These plots will usually cross-paths with other active LARPs in the resort, but the objectives will be totally unique. LARP vacations will include invitations to Mayor’s Reception, Wine and Cheese in the Park for Fireworks, Admission to the Medieval Faire, and accommodations based on the length of stay.  The "Production Director" will assist in maintaining the flow of the game and refereeing actions.

Murder Mystery
The guest or guests will become involved in a mystery where Millstone Derry constables are quickly trying to find the murderer of a citizen.  Guests will become witnesses, investigators or even suspects in the investigation.  Over the course of the vacation, clues and leads will draw guests into different corners of the resort, from the highest offices to the lowest havens of scum and villainy.  Carriage chases, scavenger hunts and colorful characters are just a few of the attractions of this suspense-filled, exciting adventure.

Farmhand Experience
For the hands-on adventurer, you can become a hand on the Village ranch or farm and stay with others in the bunkhouse, sharing in the activities and schedule of a working farm.  Rise at dawn and work the land, ten the animals and enjoy the rewards of a hard day’s work with a community barn dance, hay ride and venture into town with extra cash for your efforts!

Time Traveler Mystery
Your visit to the past is not so much to relax, but to save the universe from fraying and vanishing in a temporal paradox!  Someone has gone back in time and violated the strict rules of conduct in Millstone Derry, risking a change in the timeline that must be repaired or the future will not exist.  Clues to this surreal mystery will come through a secret communication device linking you with the changing future and helping you find the cause of the disruption.  With help from another spy from the 21st century, you can make things right and save the future…or be stuck in the past forever (and we don’t pay for the extended stay.J)

Gothic Romance for 2 (starcrossed lovers)
A special package for lovers who want to experience a love affair in the past.  Guests will arrive at different times and be sent to different parts of the resort where they must undergo the detailed and romantic courtship required by Victorian society before they can announce their engagement or commitments to one another.  In true Victorian style, the man will court the lady and - possibly - be challenged by another suitor (or suitors!) for her hand.  In the end no one can stop true love and the village will join in the celebration of two souls reunited in a special Millstone Derry ceremony.

Getaway Packages (Observation Packages)
Getaway packages allow you to be yourself (or someone else) and enjoy your stay at your own pace and in your own way.  All we do is set you up with the hotel of your choice, several complimentary activities that lend themselves to your desires and a consierge on staff to help make your visit the best it can be.  Among the themes of our Getaway Packages are:
Romantic Getaway
Activities for two including moonlight carriage rides, picnic under the fireworks display, box seats at the Saturday matinee, dinner at the finest restaurants in the village musical serenades at sunset and a romantic train ride through the countryside.

Camping Getaway
Provisions and gear will be provided for an expedition into the forest covered hills north of the village.  No gortex or aluminum tent poles here, but the traditional gear for outdoorsmen in the 19th century.  Spend nights away from city lights with a hiking expedition, examine the geology and ecology of the region and experience the natural beauty of Millstone Derry.  Nightly activities include gathering of firewood, maintenance of the campfire, safety and security inspections and watch.  Some expeditions in the area have been harrassed by vagabond and gypsy theives, so be prepared and on your guard for bumps in the night.

Aristocratic Tourist Getaway
Our finest rooms, tables, gatherings and service are reserved for you when you spend time in our luxury suite.  As a learned and esteemed member of the Victorian "elite" you wil be invited to exclusive functions and receptions, given access to special clubs and events where the best seats are yours.  If you've ever wanted to feel "above the common" or just insist on that kind of treatment, this package is for you.

Tourist Getaway
Pick your hotel and see the sights at your own pace.  A travel guide is provided and a concierge will help arrange your reservations and transportation around the village.  Vouchers are provided for transportation around the village. 

Countryside Hostel Getaway
Punch your ticket to a train ride, hike and canoe trip through the region and stay along the way in quaint, rustic shelters as you go, with your final destination downtown Millstone Derry.  Let our guide show you the countryside and sights as you wind yourway through town and meet the people who make the village the unique experience it is - work in the Dairy or Intern at the Open Air Theater.  Loaf through town and explore the libraries and museum.  Lounge on the banks of the Derry River sampling the confections of traveling vendors and share conversations with the natives.  Take your time and relax is the command of the day.
